WYCLEF JEAN BECOMES HAITI'S AMBASSADOR

In a ceremony last Thursday in NYC's S.O.B's Wyclef Jean was named the newest goodwill ambassador of his native country Haiti by President Rene Preval. Wyclef received the honors by his uncle Haiti's U.S. ambassador Raymond Joseph before a crowd of hundreds of people including Russell Simmons. Life has surely changed for the Wyclef Jean. In January 2005, Jean founded the non-political organization, Yele Haiti, to provide aid and assistance to the people of Haiti and of the Haitian diaspora.
