The VH1 Celebreality Interview: Salt-N-Pepa (Part 1 and 2)

Recently Salt N Peppa sat down with VH1 to discuss all the intimate details of the last 10 years out of the lime light. Here is Part 1 and Part 2 of the exclusive interview with Salt-N-Pepa . After the jump, the hip-hop titans talk more about The Salt-N-Pepa Show their upcoming reality series that debuts Oct. 15 on VH1, women in hip-hop, feminism and the question that’s on everyone’s mind: where on earth is Spinderella?

Well, that brings up the question that’s on everybody’s mind: What is up with Spinderella? Where is she?
Salt: Well she’s coming she’s gonna be on the show. We shot an episode already with her and there might be another one. We’re introducing her gradually but…
Pepa: She lives in L.A. She has her thing, her DJing. She has her own radio show and she DJs all over the country. But we definitely incorporated her. I guess we’re trying to introduce what happened and where we are and the Salt-N-Pepa thing.
Was that always the dynamic? I know she joined after Hot, Cool and Vicious was recorded. Was she, for lack of a better term, a third wheel?
Salt: I wouldn’t call her a third wheel but you’re right when you say this group was already established before she came in. We had “Push It” out and we were already a success and we needed a DJ and we always thought of Spinderella as an addition to something that was already there. We have a whole episode about that where we’re going deep into that whole thing.
Together: People are like, “Where is Spinderella?”
Pepa: And it’s explained.

Spinderella Say’s Salt And Pepa Never Told Me About The Reality Show

Allegedly 1980s rap group Salt and Pepa got into a fist fight while filming their new reality show for VH1. Well now it looks like someone else wants a peice of the action. Turns out that Salt and Pepa never invited Spinderella to participate in the reality show and Spinderella is hotter than fish grease! Word is that Spin is using her nationally syndicated radio show, The BackSpin to blast her former group members. According to sources Spinderella said that Salt and Pepa cheated her out of money when they all agreed to split the money from a tour three ways. This would have been the groups biggest pay day, but when the time came, Salt and Pepa took approimately 90% of the money. She also said that Salt and Pepa asked VH1 to cut her out of the reality show.

If all of this is true its a Damn shame! There has to be some shade thrown on the behalf of S n P, because she was an integral part of the group!!! Why is she not on the show? Since I'm a product of 80's Hip Hop this is definately worth further investgiation. Stay tuned yall for more gossip ish on this issue.
