(Photo By: Steve Granitz)In a recent interview with Essence Magazine Solange Knowles opens up about her recent divorce, her love for writing music and about motherhood. Solange talks about how she is no longer married to husband Daniel Smith they are good friends and they coparent their son Daniel Julez whom will be 3yrs old soon. She told Essence that when her son gets older she doesn't want him to read about her saying anything about his father or vice versa. Essence asks Solange how the two met Solange states at a hight school party and mutual friends she was 13yrs old and he was in high school and they were together for seven years. Solange states that her child has made her a better person.
Solange also states that big sister Beyonce is no competition. Solange appeared on the Today Show to promote Baby Jamz an urban toy line that she is currently promoting. She is also working on a new album called Solange & The Hadley Street Dreams.
